Buildings Products for Construction Industry

The Country Director Commercial will be responsible for achieving profitable growth of the business and reaching the commercial targets by creating and maintaining an environment that creates great engagement of all teams, in order to reach the required Operational Performance to achieve that growth.

He/she will be directly responsible for the management and development of the commercial team within the country, that includes: sales, marketing, technical, customer service, supply chain (in cooperation with central supply chain).


He/she will be overseeing the implementation of innovation across the product portfolio as well as for implementation and follow up of Key Strategic Indicators.


In particular he/she:
  • Leads the division’s business on country level, with focus on commercial activities and business development.
  • In close collaboration with all functions, translates Group and Divisional long-term business strategy into commercial strategy for the market as well as actionable short-term business goals for the company and specific business targets for all Commercial team.
  • Is responsible for achieving profitable growth of the Business and reaching the commercial targets of the country.
  • Monitors, tracks and reports on sales activity and ensures appropriate action is taken to meet/exceed sales and margin targets. Reports on the monthly results and relevant market information.
  • Coordinates the pricing and discount policy for the full country to maintain consistency within the country and towards the Division.
  • Sets the parameters for managing revenue/profit and activity targets for teams and implement/control the sales process to ensure that these are met and preferably exceeded.
  • Discusses, agrees and monitors with his direct reports profitability and customer development targets and ensures performance driven management of those teams.
  • According to directions set by the Head of the Region, monitors and control the trade-off between optimum contribution, revenue and cost, short- and long-term vision around customer positioning, product configuration and pricing, to deliver sustainable economic profit in line with Division strategy.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with key customers, partners, suppliers and staff by acting as a role-model for sales team.
  • Establishes and manages an appropriate flow of information from within and outside the organization to enable the identification of opportunities.
  • Identifies new commercial activities and drive business growth. Ensures that both the country and regional management are kept informed of market and business development opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years of experience on relevant position responsible for Marketing and Sales, experience as a Commercial Head or Business Unit Head in construction industry or at least highly interest in construction industry coming from a business with technical products.
  • Commercial or Technical University Degree.
  • Proven change management experience to lead a business through changes.
  • Extensive commercial knowledge.
  • Driving the change into digitalization of business as a key.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and vision.
  • Strong leadership.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Strong conceptual and analytic skills combined with an implementation-oriented, solution-driven approach.
  • Strategic forward thinker.
  • Decisively and taking calculated risks (visionary with a high degree of creativity, creative drive and decisiveness).
