We are excited to present a unique opportunity to join a well-established snack manufacturing company as a Factory General Manager. Our client specializes in producing private-label snacks and has been a key player in the global snack industry for over three decades. With a strong presence across multiple countries, our client supplies premium brands, retailers, and distributors in more than 40 countries. They are known for their commitment to quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

Factory General Manager
(food industry)

Our client is looking for an experienced General Factory Manager / General Plant Manager to lead their operations in Poland. Located in Poland, the new factory today employs about 50 people, with plans to increase the number of employees to about 150. The selected candidate will play a critical role in improving factory performance across various functions, including Production, Maintenance, Scheduling, Material Management, Logistics, Finance, HR. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the efficient conversion of raw materials into high-quality finished products while adhering to specifications and optimizing resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently schedule production activities and manage material call-offs.
  • Oversee material management and the conversion of materials into finished products.
  • Lead maintenance efforts, including technical services and equipment repairs.
  • Ensure timely receipt and storage of finished products, managing inventories.
  • Coordinate customer order fulfillment and execute effective customer service.
  • Participate in the coordination of new product launches.
  • Prepare and ship products according to orders from the commercial organization.
  • Uphold quality assurance and execute Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices.
  • Oversee technical IT, facility management, and supply chain operations to achieve timely order fulfillment.
  • Manage HR-related functions within the factory.
  • Collaborate with Country Finance & Controlling teams to ensure financial targets are met.

Qualifications:
  • 5 to 10 years of managerial experience in the general management of a food manufacturing facility.
  • Academic-level education.
  • Possess fluent proficiency in both English and Polish.
  • Demonstrate previous experience managing the complexities of a private label production factory.

In this position in the long term, there is an opportunity for hybrid work on 4/1 or 3/2 on-site/remote.
