Continuous Improvement Leader, Production, NAJ International

For a multinational manufacturing company (products used in the construction industry), we are looking for an experienced expert to continuously improve the operation of the production facility. The Continuous Improvement Leader will become the local ambassador for all operational excellence initiatives and will additionally mentor and coach team members, supporting them in developing their skills and commitment to improvement processes

Responsibilities:

Implementation and management of continuous improvement processes and production performance plans, including improvement of company policies, procedures and production processes
Realistic assessment and prioritization of potential improvements, taking into account both profits and the resources required (human, financial, material and others)
Implementing and managing performance indicators and setting up focus groups for a focused approach to improvement, including identifying team members and their roles
Continuously identifying areas of improvement, defining issues and analysing the current situation, ensuring that the action plan continues by developing appropriate implementation plans, including from EHS, for the continuous improvement programme
Building and maintaining effective team relationships to engage employees in continuous improvement initiatives
Provide relevant training or coaching to staff from relevant departments

Candidate Profile:

University degree in science, engineering, management
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the industry, in a manufacturing company where lean has been implemented with a continuous improvement or production role
English at an advanced level
Green or Black-Belt continuous improvement certification is an added advantage,
Knowledge of Six Sigma and other Lean tools
Knowledge of SAP
Agility to influence to achieve continuous improvement goals
Awareness of the role of open and transparent communication within the team and with other company departments
Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
Ability to coach and develop employees
