Scope of duties

For our client, one of the international large retail chains specialising in retail sales, we are looking for a person for the position of:

Regional Director
(place of work and region of service: Southern Poland or Northern Poland, depending on the candidate's place of residence)

Responsibilities:
  • Effective management of entrusted shops in cooperation with Store Directors, Operations Director and Sales Directors
  • Execution of sales and operational objectives of the stores in terms of revenue, costs, stock rotation ensuring its profitability and competitiveness in the local market
  • Verify trends and activities of competitors
  • Maintain a high level of customer service in assigned shops
  • Overseeing compliance with foodstuff, hygiene, legalisation, security and compliance with labour, health and safety laws and regulations


Candidate profile:
  • Experience in managing shops in a distributed structure
  • Min. 3 years of experience as a Sales Area / Region Manager or Store Director in the food industry (supermarket / hypermarket)
  • Higher education: management, economics, human resources, business or related field
  • Good knowledge of sales and HR software (Altum, KCFirma, Xprimer)
  • Knowledge of market management principles and techniques (over 1500 m2)
  • Experience in recruitment and in building effective teams
  • Knowledge of labour law
  • Building a long-term strategy based on the results of historical customer needs, knowledge of trends and seasonality affecting trade
  • High communication skills, planning of own work, realisation of business objectives based on analytical skills, flexibility of action, searching for non-standard solutions
  • Openness, positive attitude towards tasks and goals
  • English language - free communication (current communication with the head office)
  • Driving licence
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs
